String wound filter cartridges are available in a wide range of filter media, allowing them to adapt to a great variety of applications and operating conditions, including temperature ranges and chemical compatibility.

Filter Media Types

Polyester: Offers greater temperature resistance than polypropylene.

Fiberglass:  Used for high-temperature applications and corrosive services.

FDA Cotton Bleached General-purpose medium, with variations for applications such as distilled water, beverages, and organic solvents.

Nylon and Rayón (Rayon/Artificial Silk): For special process applications, including concentrated bases and organic solvents.

Ryton (PPS): Designed for challenging chemical compatibilities at elevated temperatures.

General Applications

Aqueous and Potable Liquids: Water, drinking water (potable water), distilled water, and beverages.

Chemicals and Solvents: Organic acids, bases (alkalis), alcohols, amines, glycols, and organic solvents.

Oils and Greases: Animal and vegetable oils, animal fats, and thermal media fluids.

Special/Industrial: Food processing, pharmaceuticals, saltwater disposal, lead-acid batteries, and corrosive services.
